At Kimball Church we talk about and seek to practice the Marks of Discipleship. Six areas of life are reflected in the Marks of Discipleship. They demonstrate how a person is to live out faith in Jesus Christ in that specific part of life. Living out these six areas of discipleship strengthens the understanding of God's love for humankind and helps you discern God's purpose for your life.

Master Plan for Campus Adopted!

On Sunday, March 9, Kimball Memorial took a historic step into the future.  The congregation voted to approve a master plan for the property.  The master plan includes a renovation of the sanctuary, the addition of a new central entrance to the building, a new commons (Fellowship Hall), renovated office space and a Family Life Center!  The master plan, designed by C. Crawford Murphy in conjunction with the Building and Renovation Team reflects studies in the congregation and the needs of the congregaiton and community.  Handicapped accessibility is reflected in the entire project.

A Church with a Heart capital appeal is underway in the congregation to raise the needed fund for the project.  Commitment Sunday is May 11, with the announcement of the pledges being given on June 1.  It is projected that construction could start this Fall on the project.

You can learn more about the capital campaign by visiting the "A CHURCH WITH A HEART" CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PAGE.  To learn more about the journey leading up to this decision--visit the Strategic Vision and Planning page!

  We're Going Green!!!

There is a box in the Fellowship Hall to recycle your empty inkjet & laser cartridges and old cell phones.  Don't just throw these items in the trash!  We receive cash for each item we turn in for recycling & we are helping the environment.  Every year over 300 million cartidges are thrown away.  In terms of weight, it's the equivalent to 30,500 African elephants!  Plastics used in inkjet cartridges can take over 10 centuries (1000 years) to decompose.  If you would like more information, please click on the link to Planet Green.
